I created this thread apart from the regular one so we can use for support, planning, discussions, questions, concerns, & just to stay connected throughout the program.

sanjac cpr for healthcare providers schedule...let me know if anyone is interested! i have called aha to find out if there is another location for a cheaper fee; however, i have not received a response. i will post when i get the info. from aha.

instruction in lifesaving skills of respiratory and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. must meet requirements of certifying agency. required for nurses, emt's and other allied health professionals involved with clinical patient care, nursing students, and the general public. includes two-person adult, two and one person child and infant cpr and obstructed airway, and aed training. a cpr card is issued upon completion.
note: no textbook required

ok, i found spoke with robert @ rc health services he is located in pearland; however, he said he could come to us if we needed him too. he has certified many sanjac nursing students and also certifies at lonestar college. aha provided me his information.
below is the information:
regular cost: $50
8 students+ (same class) - cost: $40/person.
students (schedule any day: provide him w/my name) - cost: $45/person.
he mentioned to me if the class is large enough he can do a sunday with multi instructors.
we receive ~
- aha - bls for "healthcare provider" card after completion of the class. expires: 2yrs

Hey guys,
I was looking at the class schedule and looks like our professor will be Mr. R.O.P. So, I went on Ratemyprofessor.com...and he has an Awesome rating!!! YaY! He is very supportive & helpful and we will definetly need that! He has an accent but I think we can handle that. So excited to hear the news bc he will be our professor for the entire program...See ya @ orientation!!!!! :)

"R" = Thursday
"T" = Tuesday
Still waiting to register to see what is posted on BB for the HA & Foundation; however, I think we report on Monday & Tuesday for orientation...they are supposed to explain the courses, assignment, exam taking, receive our uniforms & supplies, etc. I will know more as soon as I can get registered...I received an "error" so waiting for them to clear that up!!!!
yea, i got an error when i tried to register this morning... i just barely dropped off my paperwork at the office yesterday and it looked like there was a big 'ol stack of folders for evytte to turn in to clear for registration...
YaY, I'm officially registered; however, our instructor has not posted any information in BB. I will email him on Thursday to find out our schedule...but I'm pretty sure he will have something posted or emailed us by then!
Does anyone know if we have to report to school on Monday? I have asked several folks at the school and no response...
