San jacinto college adn fall 2010

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program? Also, when applying will you be using option A, B or both? Lets talk about it here. :redbeathe

Specializes in Intermediate Care.

I hope it's 80 slots regular and 30 hybrid, so it would technically be 110 slots, and not just 80 overall. I applied under option B with a 4.0 and 3.91 overall GPA, so I hope I get in. I also selected 1 for day and 2 for hybrid as I've taken a lot of online courses, so it doesn't bother me too much, although I'd rather have option 1 if given a choice.

Just thought I'd let everyone know they've started sending out rejection emails to everyone who didn't meet minimum requirements so If you made the cut good luck to ya!!!

Thanks for the update!! And if you received a rejection email...so sorry to hear that....Keep your head up high and move forward!! Good Luck to you!!

O I guessI should have made that clear...A friend of mine got hers I guess she didnt have a 2.5 despite getting a 26 on the ACT

Awesome!! Well...sorry for her! OMGsh, now I'm really nervous...so, do you know how long the rejections will go out for?

Not sure...i'm guessing not for long. At the info session they said the rejections would go out first to those who didn't meet the minimum requirements or never finished their app. After that they start looking at the ones with a chance. I'm guessing within the next 2 weeks, but I can't back that up. Either way I've been checking my email like crazy!!:confused:

No rejection here... yet... whew! On the info packet it said 3-4 weeks after the deadline. (But I know it could be longer. SO anxious!

On another note, does anyone know if we are supposed to have CPR certification before (if) we start the program?

If you already have yours, where did you get it/ how much was it?

yes you will need it. I know san jac offers it for like $85 other than that i know there are other places around town such as the american heart association. I'm not sure how much they offer it for. I know students in the past have gotten info for all that in their acceptance packets...

Thanks for the info kitcait.

I was considering going ahead and getting it, just to give me something to do while I wait for the news.

thanks for update i better check my email

that's a relief no e mail question does anyone know if it will be our personal email or school email

Just wanted to wish you all the best as you wait for your acceptance letters. I did all my nursing prereqs at San Jac before transferring out and I once waited for that letter so I feel your anxiety...:nurse:
