Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program? Also, when applying will you be using option A, B or both? Lets talk about it here. :redbeathe
When I said use the workbook to study I did not mean to start doing the chapters, I simply meant that after the chapters are completed then use that to study for the test. Yes they will give you a zero if you go ahead and already complete the chapters.
No you cannot have fake nails. They will give you a zero on your skills check off's and you can get sent home. Gotta get used to it you can't wear them as a nurse anyway, and it's kinda gross too.....you'll see what I mean on your first day of clinical. You wouldn't want something else for more bacteria to get caught up in.

I have a phobia of touching/getting poo on me, ironic I know, going to nursing school and also having 2 children, but there you go. So yes, the thought of getting something stuck under my nails like that turns my stomach... bleh.

Totally understand... the workbook part and the nails!!!! Thank you sooo much for all you input!!! :)
I would recommend reading the chapters in the health assessment book, doing the workbook, then studying for the test. Test one is basically from the workbook so read and then answer the questions and then you are good to go for HA.I would spend more time on the foundations test though, this is the hardest test of the 1st 8 weeks because you do not know how to take a Nursing test yet, and the test is over a million chapters.
Hope that helps!
Are the exams multiple choice???
already found a discrepancy in chapter 2, activity e (matching), page 11.
there isn't enough descriptions for all the terms and the answers in the back of the book are way off. the back of the book states there is an "h" description and first of all the descriptions are not even lettered and 2nd of all there is only 7 descriptions for 8 terms!!!
nursing school is hard enough and when the textbooks/workbooks are incorrect or not enough information...geeze, it just makes it even harder!!!!
sorry for venting but just wanted to give you guys a heads up!!! if ya'll came up with a solution to this please let me know...maybe i simply don't know my alphabets!!! :)
