San Francisco State University (SFSU) Spring 2025 BSN Program

Hello everyone, I wanted to make a forum for us applying to SFSU's Spring 2025 cohort for the BSN program to hopefully discuss the application and maybe some other questions we have. It might be helpful for us and future applicants as well!

Hey, guys, has anyone not heard anything from the nursing and/or admissions department? 

Or are they still rolling out decisions? 

I emailed them earlier this week, should I try emailing them again or should I just wait it out?

hey! I still havent heard anything from them either, I am a student at SFSU and went to the nursing departments office and the girl at the front desk said that between today and tomorrow they will be finished with giving out the decisions and that we just have to be patient and keep checking out emails, spams and trash folders. Im nervous too don't worry your not alone 🥲

Hey! OMG I'm also a current SFSU student, so I wonder if that's they are sending ours out last? My last name starts with an M. But yessss fingers crossed we get in!

wait no way! yea thats what im thinking becuase the people who got in, mostly, are transfers, do you think we have a higher shot since we students or nah that doesnt count?

When I first started Pre-Nursing at SFSU back in 2021, on the nursing website and in the nursing webinars they said that they reserved 5-10 seats for current SFSU students and 3-5 seats for veterans. But now, they removed that information from their website. I am not sure if we do have a higher shot, but other schools like EB, Chico, and Stanislaus, all give extra points (up to 10) for their current students.

Yea not yet either. It sort of threw me off getting the waitlist notification via the school email but not from the department. 

nursing department said we will get an email no later than tomorrow regarding our rank on the waitlist

Hey guys! Don't forget to check your spam folder! I received the email yesterday at 5PM and it went straight to the junk folder!
