San Diego National University Cohort 68

Updated:   Published

Hi! I wanted to see what people were planning on applying with for Nationals San Diego Cohort 68. The application deadline is Mid August 2021.

I am not quite finished with my pre-reqs yet nor have I taken my TEAS, but I will update when I have!

My goal is no lower than a 3.6GPA, and 86% or higher on the TEAS

Thank you for all the replies, do you guys know what we need to bring for the interview? Will that be in person or virtual?

Virtual. Typically 10-15min long, 4 questions asked. 1-3 people on the panel.

Thanks! Do we need to present anything during the interview? Like a resume and letter or rec?

I believe if you get an interview that the email will state how to present those items. But yes a resume and 2 letters of rec are allowed. From what I heard most of the time they don’t bring them up In the interview,  but I’d use them anyways.

Did anyone else apply to any other schools? Such as the community colleges in SD.

I am applying to Azusa Pacific instead of National, I am doing my science classes at National though, I have Chemistry left, science wise and I will be submitting my nursing packet to their High Desert location ( San Bernadino) I live in Murrieta though so its closer than NU to me and about the same cost.

Oh OK got it. I applied there during the pandemic and had an interview. All the lady did was talk about her accomplishments:-). LOL. And I didn’t get in. But hopefully, it won’t be the same for you. I just got accepted to City College but I have a bachelors degree. So it would be the long road. National has become so competitive! I’m still hoping to get accepted though.

Can I ask why you didn’t get in? Did you apply to their 2+2 program? City college is. Good program and affordable as well

I don’t know why. They never said. I applied to the ELM accelerated nursing program.

Oh okay that is different then it’s a new program they just started not that long ago. It’s called 2+2 BSN nursing so you have to have done 2 years at a community and then you complete the other 2 years there. It seems like you’re doing well though and you’ve been accepted at city! Congratulations!!

Does APU have the same admission requirements as NU?
