Hi everyone! I thought I would start a group for everyone applying to San Diego City College ADN program for Fall 2017. From other posts it seems like students usually hear back the first week of January but I'm sure it all depends how many people apply. Good luck to everyone applying!

I have not received an email either. I figured they were waiting to see how many declined their spot and would send out a second batch of emails. Honestly my science credits are from 6 years ago and I got 2 c's and the program doesn't let you retake for a better grade until they expire so my points were slightly under 70 despite doing well on the teas and being a nurse assistant. I figured it couldn't hurt to at least try and see what happens.

Hi all!

I received my acceptance letter on Friday. I honestly was surprised to get in because I thought I had a better chance getting in at SWC but I am so grateful I got in. For future nursing students and for people still waiting on their letters I know it drove me crazy to know others exact points to see if I had a good chance of getting in so here you go... I have my associates degree so I got 5 points there, also have my cna and revelvant work experience so 10 points there, science GPA of 3.0 so 20 points there fixed gpa of 3.0 so 11 points there +3points for the difficult family circumstances etc. and 79.3% on the TEAS so 21 points total of 70 points, yikes!

So excited to start and to meet you all at orientation! I want to try and attend the first orientation if seats are still available when I get my add code (:

I assume they are still trying to sort through acceptances and send out another round of offers, as Crostar said. My offer email had an acceptance deadline date of 01/23/17, however the actual letter of acknowledgement had a deadline of 01/25/17. So hopefully some of those that were on the edge get some good news soon.

Also, still no add code which seems to be cutting it close as the first session is supposed to be on 02/02/17?

I just got emailed an add code for the second. I was hoping to get into the first :/ I thought we would have a choice, as I will have to miss one class of the second round

I was also assigned to the second session automatically, but I need to be in the first session. I emailed --------------- and explained my circumstances and she gave me the add code for the first session.
