San Diego City College ADN Spring 2016 SDCC

Hello everyone,

I am starting a new thread for those of us that applied to San Diego City College for the SPRING 2016 ADN program. The deadline is December 1, 2015. Please post on here if you get anything from them via email or mail or telephone. Also, post your total points you added up from the Multi-Criteria Grid so we can see point averages and get an idea who actually gets in and how many points they had. So excited to hear something! Good luck everyone! ;)

I had a 4.0 for prereqs 3.9 culm and 83.3 Teas and got in to City ADN program... still waiting for State and San marcos!

I just wanted to put it out there that we had until Jan 15th to accept our seat. I assume that they will send out another round of acceptance letters after that date. Good luck to everyone!

Class actually starts on 25 Jan, but you have to sign up for the course.

The 25th is a Monday. The class meets on Thursdays. I think the orientation (on the 28th) is for the students registered for the first 8 week course. I assume they will go through the same process for the second class.

So I can confirm that e-mail's for the LVN to ADN have come out. I got mine today.

The congrats letter says 28th, but when you sign up, it says class starts on 25th. Congrats to everyone who got accepted.

I emailed Susan Chandler because I am attending the 3-21 to 5-21 NRSE 092 course. She said we ALL still need to attend the lunch on Thursday Jan. 28th regardless if we are attending the first or second session of classes. There is nothing in the letter about class starting on the 25th it clearly states it starts on the 28th . The only reason why its says 3-25 on the class schedule is because it gives the week the actual class starts on not the specific day which is the 28th. It does however show that class is only held on Thursdays. Hope this clears up confusion!

Lauren, I actually talked to --------- and ---------------- and they emailed me that you do NOT have to be present at the 1/28 meeting if you are signed up to attend the 3/21 orientation. Are we getting the same info?

This is what she said:

Please attend January 28th meet and greet lunch:)

.... She didn't say if its mandatory or not but she said please attend so I'm assuming its important to go. What did she say in your email?

I asked her "Is the meeting on 1/28 necessary?" and she says, "I probably shouldn't have ended the letter with "See you January 28th"!!! Sorry" and then i asked again "Just be to be sure, I do not need to attend the 1/28 if I'm going to do the orientation for 3/21?" and she says "Correct."

There is no orientation. The 28th is when the pre-nursing course starts that we sign up for. It's an 8 week course one day a week for 4 hours. There is another course in March if we don't do it in January.
