Hey everyone
Whether you are an alumni, already in the nursing program or are in the same boat as me and just applied to SBVC nursing for the Fall 2018 semester coming up, i would like to hear your insight!
What were your points when you were accepted or when you applied? What was your science GPA? Non-science GPA? How are you liking the program, if you are already accepted.
ANY insight would be amazing!! I'm in the process of just waiting to hear back and its killing me, so id like to see where i stand with other applicants! I'd also like to see if anyone has already heard anything!

Hi,How was it the first time you took it? Did they not take all of the applicants that they invited back? I'm worried about taking the HESI and still not getting in..
Thanks,
Emma
I would say that the test is not hard. I'm stronger in math, so my highest score on my hesi exam was math. Overall I got 72.33% on the test. Vocabulary and Biology brought me down. I didn't study on biology much because I was focused on a &p. Vocabulary might have had words I didn't know and because i was tired during this section, I might have just started guessing.
The school did not take all the applicants they invited back. I started as alternate #2 for the school and someone did drop allowing me to be alternate #1 but after that, no one dropped the program.
It shows on Valleys website we have to take a microbiology section of the test but there's no micro section in the book I'm studying from and it's not listed as an option on the hesi website or any other website I've seen..? Not sure how to prepare for it
It's just biology. When I took the test with them, I got tested on: math, reading comp, grammer, vocab, anatomy and physiology, and biology and a less stressful fun test, learning style and personality profile.
Wow, well I really hope you have better luck this time around! Thank you for all of the information. I will be sure to focus on biology and vocab as well.. I am trying to figure out how many people they will take vs how many were invited back. I want to know a better idea of what my chances are!

Finally got my invite!!! Quick question, is there a $40 fee for taking the test?
