San Antonio Spring 2013

I just applied for the spring 2013 semester. Can anyone shed some light as to what kind of GPA I should be carrying... Right now I have a 3.0 with all of my pre reqs completed... If you don't mind me asking what was your current GPA and course completion for those of you that were accepted?

Is there anyone else out there that has applied ? Info greatly appreciated!!!

I just applied for Spring 2013 and was told in the fall this would be the last semester they would take applicants who hadn't finished all pre reqs, and effective march 2013 you had to have all of them finished. I don't have chemistry completed but am signed up to take it this fall. I also have pharmacology so I hope that will have some consideration! My gpa is a 4.0 , geez I hope I get in :) nice to meet you all

Hi Lauraah!

Im as anxious as you are! Im crossing my fingers and toes that i get in. I have completed all my pre-reqs and my gpa is only a 3.1, so im hoping it doesnt affect me getting in. I applied for fall 2012 this past year but got denied because my ranking score sat at a 4.95 because i was lacking Bio 2420 and chem 1405, and the cut off score was 5.64. So i was sooo close, if i would have completed those two classes i could have gotten in!

I believe the ranking score works like this. first add ur gpa say its a 4.0 and then you add .5 if you finished ap 2 on the first try and .5 if you passed bio 2420 on the first try and then a whole 1 pt if you finished all your classes if not then you add .5 if you finished 1/2 of the pre reqs and then 1 point if you finished ap2 and bio 2420. 7 is a perfect score. So if you add ur gpa 4.0 + .5 + .5 + 1 + 1 = 7! Im not a 100% sure though, i had wrote it down but i think i threw the paper away. But im pretty sure its just like this.

Hey everyone! Your ranking score is found just as braecruz22 explained it. I went to the nursing department a couple months ago and she explained it to me exactly as braecruz22 did. I also applied for SACs Spring 2013 RN program and boy am I anxiously waiting!!:whistling:

that is an interesting way to do it. i was hoping we would have heard something from the school by now. i believe last year spring applicants were given news by this time. crossing my fingers for next monday...

yea i havent heard anything either and i have looked at the past post for spring 2012 and most people got there acceptance letters on the 20th, so im hoping all of ours comes soon. Let me know when yall get it and ill do the same. :nailbiting:
