I just applied for the spring 2013 semester. Can anyone shed some light as to what kind of GPA I should be carrying... Right now I have a 3.0 with all of my pre reqs completed... If you don't mind me asking what was your current GPA and course completion for those of you that were accepted?

Your GPA is only a fraction of your total score to enter into the program. The total score is also based on the amount of times you had to take A&P I and II, and microbiology. I believe you are ok with a 3.0. I have a 3.8. Contrary to what Nancy white said, you will not be accepted if your science courses are not completed. She misinformed so many students. The core MUST BE COMPLETED prior to application. Also remember to have all of your immunizations and CPR certificate. Good Luck.

Thank you for your reply. All Science courses (A&P 1 &2, Chem, & Mico) are completed along with ethics, psyc, english, and math. So all i need to complete to get my degree are the nursing courses.

I did retake my A& P 2 due to getting a C and I wanted an A. Will this count against me if i passed the first time?

So the people accepted had to have all sciences completed? Did everyone have all of the co requisites completed prior to starting the program?

Are you referring to SAC RN program? If so, I got accepted with a 3.6 gpa and have not completed micro, phil, and engl1302, unfortunately I had to decline acceptance for this fall because I accepted my spot in the lvn program at baptist this past spring. Was tired of waiting... But it is VERY possible to get in without all pre-reqs completed!!

Completely forgot... Starting Spring 2013 you will be required to have ALL pre-reqs completed..

Thank you so much jcandy! I have all pre reqs completed but my GPA is a 3.0.... Just hoping my GPA doesn't hold me back from getting into the program! Congrats on baptist health I have been looking at their program as well and will be applying there just in case I don't get into this program

Hello guys, I just wanted to add that I spoke with ***** yesterday & asked her was courses specifically needed to be complete before applying and starting the program. She informed me that the * & the ethics course must be complete before starting the program. They work by a point system and she said you can apply but it drops your score lower based on how many classes you don't have. Before the semester actually starts however, those classes must be complete. I have everything but the ethics course but I'm enrolling in that course in the fall online at sac.

Good info!! I am taking ethics online right now.... Sign up with **** ! Super easy!!! 8 quizzes you get to retake each test up to 3 times and the best score is recorded. One final that is comprised of all the quiz questions and one paper that is double space up minimum 2 pages no more than 4....

Hello is actually *******, I have applied to many programs i start creating names lol, her number is (edited as per TOS/personal information) and she actually answers the phone when you call thought the week! Thank you so much! I seen him on the course selection I'm going to take him, thank you!!

Hey I forgot to ask, when you submitted the app did you get a confirmation email or anything? After I submitted the app it took me to a page that displayed for about 40 seconds then it refreshed and disappeared! I just wanted toile sure my app was actually submitted. I called the nursing dep. and she had no idea.
