Hi fellow applicants! 

I know it's quite early since the deadline is July 1, 2021, but I thought I would get this forum started! I submitted mine early and I received an automated email this morning confirming that they received my application. I checked forums for the previous cohort and it seems like they did not send out interview invites until mid-September. Hopefully, this year will be a little quicker. Good luck to you all! ?

Hope everyone's interview preps are going well!! Does anyone know if CM and FNP interviews are done together or on separate days/times?

According to previous forums, they are done separately!

Not sure about the number of interviews, but I think there are usually way more FNP applicants. Also, according to previous year forums, some FNP applicants that do NOT get selected for FNP are then offered to interview for a slot in the CM program. 

Here are 2020 stats pulled straight from SMU's website:

Mostly watching videos for questions, writing down my own answer, and then kind of rehearsing it. I heard last year's interviews were mostly more of a group collab though. They didn't really ask things like "tell me about yourself" or "why nursing" not sure how it will be this time though so I'm gonna prepare for both. So nervous!

Were the times below the only options for the interviews? I am trying to get a better count of estimate of candidates that got interviewed?

@dumpling119 I get the same error message on my personal event link as well. 
 

Also, the times listed were the same for me, 7 total interview time slots over 3 days.

8 people per slot so it's about 56 members that have been invited to interview - if I am correct.

Yes I've noticed this too. There were over a hundred who were invited to interview in the previous year(s) based on the forum. However, I would assume numbers have dropped due to the pandemic/online learning system. A few friends of mine in the program mentioned how students weren't doing well with online classes and pandemic related worries.

yes! I think I noticed the first slot being only 5 people but the rest are all 8 so I would say around 53! I was expecting a lot more but I guess it does make sense that there probably were fewer applicants because of the pandemic/online learning like you mentioned.

Yes! That sounds more accurate. 

 

I hope we all do well. Good luck to us all!! I can't help but feel nervous for the interview that is coming up so soon. ?
