Hey All
I haven't yet seen a forum for this cohort yet and I wanted to start one! Applications are due soon and wanted to see how others are going along with the process and see if theres any advice or recommendations that anyone has. This could be with the application, interviews, pre-reqs, HESI, etc. I appreciate those who comment and add to the forum!
A little about me: originally from NYC moved out to Oakland in 2015. I worked in Urgent Care, and have volunteer work during Covid-19. Finishing up a few pre-reqs now and hopefully will have them done in time for the application due date Dec 1st. Let me know if there are any other questions for me, I am very interested to see the backgrounds of others who are also applying, its a stressful but exciting time for everyone! ?
P.S. if there is a forum for the Fall 2021 ELMSN program please link it!

Aw thank you! Did you hear this from a current student? Or is this just your intuition?!

haha I routinely look at previous years forums when Im questioning myself, and last year (albeit it was right when Covid-19 was getting really serious), people heard throughout the week. IDK, Im just being hopeful and wishing good juju for everyone haha. It's also possible that people have heard back from other schools already and they have declined the invitation? Its not over until its over!

I hope that really is the case. Thank you so much

Hi! I had a 3.5 overall GPA, 3.7 Science Prerequisite, overall 97% on the HESI, 100 hours of clinical volunteer hours, 150 hours volunteering with underserved populations, and interned in two research labs- about 250 hours. Hang in there! I just got notified of an interview today so don't lose hope yet ?
Hi All. I also just received my invitation email this morning for the FNP track. I'll be interviewing on Monday, looking forward to meeting some of you then! Good luck to everyone. If anyone has any specific tips to share having gone through this process, I'm sure we'd all welcome them ?
Heyyyy, I had an interview last year sometime for the Sacramento campus. The setup wasn’t your traditional interview setup. We all had to work in groups with other interviewees (virtually). The interview wasn’t too stressful. Just make sure you are listening to each other and contributing. I feel like the interviewers wanted to see how well we listened & worked together. We were only asked 2 questions.
1. Tell me about yourself?: You’ll be answering this question with a partner. Make sure you are listening to your partner because you’ll share what you learned about him/her with everyone else.
2. What would you do if money wasn’t an issue, what kind of clinic will you make? Who will be on your team & who will they serve? : This is done in a group of about 6. Make sure you contribute your ideas. & it’s OK to write down notes because each person in your group will share what they came up with the Interviewers.
-For the rest of the time you can ask whatever questions you may have.
**For the ones that are interviewing this coming up week, can you please come back and let us know how it went & what questions were asked? Thank you in advance.
Good luck everyone! You got this!!!

Did you receive an invitation to interview yet? Just curious if previous applicants will have to interview again (I interviewed for the Sacramento campus for Spring 2021 as well and was waitlisted)

Yes, I received an interview invited yesterday. I was also waitlisted when I interviewed for Sac.
