I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

I submitted my application on June 30 at 11:48 PM for San Mateo, Spring 2021. I have minimal healthcare experience but extensive work experience, 4.0 in all science prerequisites, and a cumulative GPA of 3.4. Fingers crossed we hear back about SM soon. Good luck to all.

Ooh saw your username and thought you were an EMT LOL. Good luck to you! Your stats sound like you have a great shot!! If you don’t mind me asking, were you working in a different industry prior to applying?

Yeah - this is a total career change. I had been working as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant since 2014.

lolll doesn’t sound like it’ll be soon. 

I feel like if it were to be this week they wouldn’t send an email. But obviously I don’t know! ??

How long is it rlly take to review 300+ apps though???

Did anyone else ask or get a response about not receiving the email? I have emailed and called and no one has responded.

In my experience they don’t respond on weekends. Monday - Friday only. Also when I wasn’t getting a response I left a voice message. They called back immediately, mind you it was a more urgent matter about my application.
