Samuel Merritt University ABSN Fall 2023

Hi everyone. I wanted to start a discussion about the ABSN Samuel Merritt program for Fall 2023. I have applied to the Sacramento campus and hoping to get accepted. has anyone else applied? or be in the program I would love to hear more about it.

@futurenurse39 No, I haven't heard back yet. When I went to the Nursing Seminar in June I spoke to the advisor for San Mateo and he had told me mine might still be in review due to one of my references submitting their Letter of Rec later, pushing back my app. I then email recently and he replied on July 12th saying to expect a response/ decision within 10 business days. I still have not heard back at all ?

hmm okay? it makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one that hasn't heard back, but I really hope that we hear from them soon. the cohort starts in august so we won't have anytime to prepare. did you also apply by the June deadline?

no:( I don't think I received an email after the preliminary review email. is there a SMU account or anything that you made to check the status of your application or to sign up for classes? I really hope I hear from them soon? but congrats on the acceptance!! did you apply for sac or san mateo?

Oh I only applied for San Mateo which starts in November. But yeah, June deadline too. But for Spring I did San Mateo and Sac as secondary. Sac has different dates

I applied for sac but someone I know was waitlisted at San Mateo and they got in about 3 weeks ago

Hi guys, just finished the last of my prerequisites today. So I can finally start the onboarding process for the fall program at san mateo. Is there any immediate deadlines I should be aware of? And did anyone attend that informational seminar that was held in the last weekend of June? I was not able to go to that. Was there anything important spoken about there that I should know?

I just got an email today saying I'm on the waitlist. 8 out of 11. I had to resubmit one of my transcripts late, so I assumed I would get a response late.

Hi guys! I got waitlisted 11/11. Hoping it goes down so that I get accepted for sure. Do you guys know if in the case that I don't, would I be guaranteed a spot for the Spring sem?

One of the advisors let me know last Friday that those who submitted their app from April 1 to June 1 should receive a response within 3 to 5 business days. Hope this helps

(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) told me that I would get a response before or by July 21st, but I got the response today. So, there may be a delay in their deadlines.
