Hi all,
Applications are due just around the corner, and I was just wondering if anyone else has started the application process yet.
It would be good to hear back from others who are going through the same process!

Hi adusf84!
Thanks for confirming the cost -- I had calculated my tuition plus fees plus student health insurance (mine is $567/mo) and come up with the same.
I'll be applying for loans from banks, likely, and from my finance experience a good place to get education & general information is bankrate.com. Their info page on student loans is: http://www.bankrate.com/finance/college-finance/shopping-for-a-student-loan-1.aspx
The only thing I can say from going through the process is if you can find any loans out there that are LIBOR plus 3% - 4%, that's generally a good way to go. LIBOR has only surpassed US banks in interest rates a couple of times since the early 90s.
Did you get any information on fellowships or scholarships in your package? As well, did you get the impression that some of these might be available to us?
LMK when you get a chance.
How did it go?!
Not so good, I was told that they were interviewing for the waitlist, and she was unsure why they still had the announcement on the website when they have already selected their applicants. The only thing she could tell me was that I would be put on the waitlist and if I don't get called then reapply to the Sacramento campus as well as the main campus (Oak). Bummmed, I wish I would have known that before hand, I would have just waited to submit my app. the following term. Oh well, it was an experience, and know I know what to expect.

yes , i recieved mine too. it is pricey but they do a great job a estimating. and if banks offer subsidized loans than that would be great cuz we wouldnt be charged interest til we graduate. But ive been told by past smu students to take teh full amount they give you. and you can always take less the second year too.
