Hi! I'm just wondering if you could tell me what the requirements are to get into Holy Names for the nursing program. I know you do 2 years there before you get into SM, but do I need to have taken any specific courses before?
Thanks!

Hi,
I've heard things about Holy Names program through a former student so I decided not to apply there. My first choice was St. Mary's but they stopped taking transfer students into their nursing program. So I ended up checking out Mills College in Oakland and transferred there and have loved it since! You should look into Mills program. You can transfer in as a sophomore and do complete a year at Mills and your off to SMU. I will be transferring to SMU this fall so if you have more questions, email me. I would be happy to help. [email protected]
Basic requirements: Intro to Bio, Intro to chem, Freshmen english, should be completed prior to transferring.
You can complete only 2 of the four major science classes: Anatomy, physio, organic/biochem, micro before transferring to Mills.
Great! but I only have 1 more semester left at Holy Names and I already passed the TEAS test. SO I will be at SMC in January 2011. Hope to see you there! Good Luck!
