Hi Everyone, I haven't seen this thread yet and as the application date (July 1) looms closer I thought I would start one. I am interested to know who is applying, what your undergraduate degree of study was and why you are now going into nursing? I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow!!!
So I will answer my own questions; My name is Darcy, my Bachelor's degree is in gerontology. My plan is to work with the elderly, hopefully in hospice. FNP is the next logical step for me.
Yesterday Liza Osoteo emailed me to let me know that my ELMSN application was forwarded to the review committee. So, they are still actively going through applications to make sure that all the pre-reqs are met, etc. Surprising how many people apply without having all the pre-reqs completed or at least in progress.
Hi everyone. I also contacted the SMU about my application. The lady (no name policy on forum) told me that she would be reviewing applications until the end of August. If you still have not heard anything yet, please hold until then. I just received an email from SMU about forwarding my application to faculty review as well. @tnt- Yes, I also got an email last week stating that my packet is being forwarded!! Yippee! Did you apply to Sac or San Mateo? Have you applied to any other programs?
Hi @beezie! I know it's so good to hear to hear anything from SMU! A lot of anxiety just waiting..haha. I thought spring 2013 was only sac campus right? I haven't applied to other programs yet, but I do plan on submitting more apps once the deadline comes rolling around. I feel like nursing programs all have different deadlines! How about you???
@KC613- Good luck with the interview!! I have a few questions...Do you have all the prerequisites done and your Bachelors complete? Do you mind sharing your GPA? Again, awesome news about the interview!!
