Hi Everyone, I haven't seen this thread yet and as the application date (July 1) looms closer I thought I would start one. I am interested to know who is applying, what your undergraduate degree of study was and why you are now going into nursing? I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow!!!
So I will answer my own questions; My name is Darcy, my Bachelor's degree is in gerontology. My plan is to work with the elderly, hopefully in hospice. FNP is the next logical step for me.
There are a lot of options for loan forgiveness and pay-off when you are hired after school. I work for the VA and as a federal employee you can have your loans forgiven after 10 years of federal employment. They also have incentives for hiring, etc.
I received an email that my application for the ABSN is complete and was forwarded for faculty review. However, I still have not received confirmation my ELMSN application was received. Anyone else still waiting for the ELMSN confirmation email?
I received confirmation emails for both ABSN and ELMSN program mid July. Did you send/submit the applications on the same day? They are probably still processing packets.
Yes, I submitted them on the same day. I noticed last night they cashed the check for the application fee for both programs, so they received the application. So, at least I know they have it. I would be horrified if it was lost in the mail or something.

I applied to the ELMSN-CM program, as well as the ABSN. Crossing fingers!
