Hi, everyone! Just wanted to start a forum for those applying to SMU's ELMSN Fall 2019 program. I know the admission deadline was about a month ago and I wanted to know if anyone has heard back yet! I applied for the FNP track ?

You can log into the Samuel Merritt admitted student portal and click on check list.. it’ll show u if ur application has been denied or under review. I believe the log in is the same as ur nursing cas

Alright, got my email. I’m last on the waitlist for CM - aka not getting in lol. I did give a HORRID interview (got back from Australia that morning to my luggage lost and car vandalized - but still no excuse!) and I’m sure my essay sucked a fat one because I was shook, so it was to be expected. I’m excited for and very envious of everyone who got in! Hope I’ll be in the cohort right behind ya ?

Just checked my admitted student portal and it’s says I’ve been admitted to the C ! Still waiting for a call or email. A little confused because I submitted my letter of intent for the ABSN program since the deadline is tomorrow. Does anyone know if I’m still allowed to accept another offer ?

When I got accepted into the FNP program, I was given access to my student account where I then noticed I was accepted into both programs. That is how I found about about getting accepted. Also, admissions can confirm with you too if you did not hear anything. I had a friend once who got accepted into the CM progam but didn't get any notice. They sent the notice to an old email of hers. When she called to check in, admissions confirmed. I am assuming this is rare though.

I think it depends on if you submitted your deposit yet. I would call Timothy ,the director of Admissions, after going back into your account and accepting CM as your program of choice. After you submit your deposit, you will get an email confirming that you are set for that program, and they will give you a checklist of all the other things you will need to do.

I emailed Anne yesterday and she said she’s expecting movement by the end of this week.

How many spots does the wait list typically move? I'm wait listed for the CM program.

I recently reached out to one of the students from the last cohort wondering the same thing. She said that she found out A MONTH before school started, and she was waitlist number 14....(for FNP)

Of course, we have to keep in mind that it's going to be different from cohort to cohort ... but I hope this year is the same as last..... haha
