Yeah- they said I needed to increase my science GPA since it was sub 3.0 last year. Is this your first or second year applying?

its my first time applying, I also had under 3.0 science GPA so I retook a bunch of science classes this year

Just thought I might post here as well. Applying for the 2nd time around at SMU as well. I interviewed back in Feb but didn't get in so hoping for a better chance this year! Best of luck to all of us applying! :)

I hope so! Thank you, they said it was really just my interview (why I didn’t get an offer, got so nervous ?), so just work on that and probably retake my GRE. They said that I would get an offer depending on how strong the applicant pool is this year. But they also said that I’m actually a strong applicant (does that make sense?)

So that could mean I can NOT get an interview. I’m not too confident about it but I’m hopeful cause I tried to be well rounded in my app. ?

Let’s prepare now by doing mock interviews. I only did one last year and that was my mistake. Your stats get you the interview, but it’s the interview that gets you in.

I only raised my GRE by 1 point (and still didn’t get above 300). With that being said, I appreciate how SMU really looks for a well rounded applicant.

One point is still one point higher! I raised my verbal by one, but my quant went down by one.... so a net raise of 0. ?‍♀️
