I know I am jumping the gun a bit-so to speak since the application deadline just passed and they don't typically send interview invites out until January for February interviews, but I thought I'd add this to the mix! Good luck all!

I received an acceptance email around 1pm

Hey all, I’ve been following the forum without interacting with anyone so far, but I’m excited to chime in and say I’ve gotten my acceptance email earlier this afternoon as well! Can’t wait to get started this Fall! Should we make a Facebook group so we can all connect?

I talked to the director and a few SRNAs and they all told me your "stats" gets you the interview NOT a spot in the class. What DOES get you in is your ability to mesh with a group of 25 other nurses. If you got an interview, CONGRATS!!! Your stats are sufficient!!

That being said I have heard of students with a 4.0 GPA and like 330 on GRE getting turned down because of the interview. On the other hand, I know 3.0 students with average-above average GRE get in solely because of their evident selfless concern for others. They truly truly TRULY want to see you are well rounded. Just as an FYI!

Somewhat out on a tangent here BUT I think the reason this is might point to CRNA's necessity to build strong relationships with hospital staff, surgeons, and administrators in order to advance their profession. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that CRNAs must be invited to have a seat at the table in making decisions in healthcare and part of that requires being able to mesh with people we don't know and may not necessarily get along with.

If you got turned down this year don't let it get you down! You WILL succeed if you keep trying! Have GRIT!

I made a Facebook group!

However, for the privacy of everyone here and to prevent anything from being taken out of context I made it secret. If you would like to join put a face to the couple future classmates in it currently please DM me your acceptance letter and your full name or your email associated with your facebook account and I will add you to the group!
