Samuel Merritt BSN Spring 2022

Hi everyone! 

I haven't seen anyone post about SMU's BSN program for Spring 2022 in Oakland. Is anyone applying? This is my first time applying and July 1st is coming up quick!

ME TOOOOO! I'm also waiting to hear from SFSU and Chico. I was given my alternate major at SFSU and still waiting for the nursing department. Just stoked to finally get into a school!

I got in with my alternate major, too! I think last cohort they sent out decisions around the first week of November? I've been thinking of going to Samuel Merritt since 2014 so I'm pretty ecstatic to make it in the first time applying!

Last thing is how accurate is this information? I just don’t want to look and get excited and then find out it’s wrong.

Goodness, I hope it's accurate! Looking back at previous SMU forums, no one has said otherwise so I think it's safe to assume that it's accurate?

This was my first time applying at Samuel Merritt too! I applied to USF (waitlisted) and Dominican (accepted undeclared major) last semester. Then I decided to take my TEAS, volunteer, and work at Kaiser and I think it helped! ?

That's awesome! Yeah, I bet doing all of that helped out ? I got denied from CSUEB's Spring program so I didn't think I'd get into Samuel Merritt. I got my CNA certification right before applying so I think that was definitely helpful!

Mine says under review too ? so bummed out but I’m hoping for next time! Or…a miracle in the morning. Anyone waitlisted?

Don't lose hope! Wait until the morning. The fact that they had system glitches this morning could be interfering with the portal communication. Fingers crossed ???

Received my rejection letter a couple hours ago. The portal still shows my application was submitted and is under review. Gotta start a new app for Dec 1st!
