Hello! My name is Jenny and I applied for the Spring semester at SMU in Oakland. Wanted to start a forum for us all waiting to hear back, which should be within the next couple weeks! How many times have you all applied? Are you applying to other places? Good luck in the process!!!

@pjlauzon I think she found out at 8am that morning because she didn't hear anything the night before and then sent us that message the next morning at 8:20am....I've gone over it a million times already :(

I got my notification today. Sadly, I didn't get accepted initially, but I am #1 of 15 on the waitlist. So I'm hoping for the best!

@jhum09 I received the email at 11:42am. I also emailed the associate director of admission (Pam) and she said all letters will be out by the end of the week. GL to rest of u guys!

@apowell92 I was wondering when the deposit for you was due so it will give me a better sense of when waitlist people will possibly get a notification of acceptance.

Congratulations to those who received their admission letters! You guys must be on cloud nine! :yes: @pjlauzon I am also wait-listed so I asked when the "deadline" for us would be and she replied that they are accepting wait-listed students as needed until January 5th (first day of class.) You have a really good chance of getting in since you are first on the list. Good luck to everyone else!

Hi jhum09,

Did you hear anything from SMU?

I talked to a SMU advisor today and she said that if you applied to SMU and you got waitlisted, your chances of getting in if you apply next time is increased. Even if you have a lower gpa, teas score, etc than another applicant. I hope to hear back from you, I'm going to apply to SMU soon hopefully
