Just wanted to start a thread for the students applying to this time frame! Deadline's around the corner. ?

I’m curious as well as the school is not providing much insight. I need to figure out childcare! Based on previous forums it seems like schedules are often changing, last minute clinical hours and 12 hour shifts. Can you please send me a private message if you find anything more detailed? Thank you!

Here is the academic calendar for ABSN 2021-2022 cohorts. It does not include our clinical schedules, but gives you an idea of overall schedule (I.e., holidays)
For classes/semesters, go to the SMU ABSN site and click Curriculum:

Thank you for the quick response! While this is helpful, I’m hoping to better understand what a typical day / week looks like for a SMU ABSN student. What time classes/ clinicals begins and end etc
does anyone know if classes will still be online for the June SM intake? I realize orientation will answer many questions, but childcare takes a long time to find and I don’t want to lose this week searching!
im sooo excited!!

Hi! I am in the Oakland Summer cohort and so far I have classes m-w about 8-4:50. Clinicals won’t start until week 6 and we don’t know that schedule yet. I do know that it’s 10 hours, twice a week. Not sure if that’s on Thursday/fri, sat/sun or a combo. Right now all instruction is online but labs and simulations are on campus. We kind of don’t know how our days are looking past that info. Hopefully this helps. I have two toddlers so the schedule was a huge question for me too.

Thank you so much. This is very helpful! Hoping I will have online instruction as well ?

I’m also waitlisted. It seems like your chances of acceptance increases if you apply a second time or third time. Have you applied to other programs?

I received an email last week offering me a spot for fall cohort if I the waitlist didn't move - maybe they will send you the same?
