Hi everyone!

So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? What campus did you apply to?

All the books are also listed individually on the SMU bookstore website. There isn't like a specific list of books...

There is also the option to rent the textbooks via the bookstore which is a lot cheaper, or just purchase the electronic version for 1/2 the price.

Is there a list of all the books in the bundle or do you have to go to each class and see which one are included by selecting the courses individually. Are all the books we need in the bundle? I don't know how you guys figured this out so easily. I am confused... Also, is there a digital bundle too?

I wish there was a list showing exactly which book come in this alleged bundle. It appears as thought he books available to purchase separately have different authors than the book shown to be included in the bundle. I have just exceeded my entire lifetime use of the word "bundle" in this single post.

Feels like I am missing something...

Wannabe81- Sorry to be a spaz. I seriously don't know what my problem is... Are these what you ordered? And then you download the digital ones to your computer so you don't have to bring your books to school?

Yes, that is correct... I just checked on the bookstore, for the Oakland campus. The guy from the book store (can't use names on here PM me if you want) said that the different campus, because they have different teachers, have different books. So, yes, the Oakland bundle is the $867 one an the $478 digital... if you get the $867, that will ALSO include the digital access.

Sika, I have a question for you if you don't mind. What uniform are we supposed to buy for clinicals? I saw a funny video on youtube with the nursing students from Samuel Merritt dancing in white scrubs. Do you know if we can buy those scrubs specifically from SMU because probably they have logos embroidered on them, or we should just buy whatever brand we want as long as they are white?

Hey, guys from San Mateo campus. I still am available for a get-together sometime during weekends. This coming Sunday though I'm having a CPR class from 9 till 1 in San Francisco. So we could plan for April 28 or 29, which are Saturday and Sunday.

Hi ElenaH,You are right, the scrubs are embroidered. White top and blue pants. We had the chance to try them on during the second day of orientation. They are available at the bookstore. If I am not wrong it's about $52 a set of top and pants.:-)

Hey guys...

I've officially withdrew my intent to attend oakland summer cohort, so another deserving student will get a call today. Feel kinda sad about it, as i was looking forward to moving back to the bay...but my girlfriend is up here, tuition is less, and i have a far less commute from where i was planning to live...makes all the sense in the world for me...so good to you all. I remember how worried i was when only a handful of people got the call on that first evening, and how happy i was when i got the call next morning...good luck everyone...and lets hope the economy turns around just in time for our graduation!!!!!
