Hi everyone!
So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application??
What campus did you apply to?
Hey Guys, Have you looked at the ASBN page yet? Lots of changes going on... This is copied/pasted directly from the SM website. Sounds like no more classes will be held in SF for the next year or so...but clinicals will still be there.
Please note that effective with the April 2012 cohort, the San Francisco Learning Center will merge with the San Mateo Learning Center. However for the April and November cohorts, the clinical options will remain in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Summer admission:
April - Classes will be taught in San Mateo, and clinicals will be offered in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
May - Classes will be taught in Oakland, and clinicals will be offered in the greater East Bay Area.
June - Classes will be taught in San Mateo, and clinicals will be offered in the greater South Bay Area.
Fall admission:
November - Classes will be taught in San Mateo, and clinicals will be offered in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Spring admission:
January - Classes will be taught in San Mateo, and clinicals will be offered in the greater South Bay Area
January - Classes will be taught in Sacramento, and clinicals will be offered in the greater Sacramento Area.
katiebelle1 - Yes, we did notice the changes, I believe we discussed that I few posts back. What we had noted is that although there had been many changes on the website, the below statement (also copied from the SMU site) STILL has not been removed:
"ABSN Applications for Summer 2012
Applications are still being accepted for Summer 2012. Depending on when an application is submitted, it may be considered for a waitlist position only. Before submitting an application, the TEAS must be completed and a score must be available. Do not submit an application without the TEAS as it will be considered incomplete."
Katiebelle1- I received an email back in December asking if I wanted to leave my choice (SF) as is and have classes taught in San Mateo and clinicals in SF, change to San Mateo/Oakland, or withdrawl my app. I'm not sure if everyone got that same email or if only those that put SF as their first choice got that notice.
