Starting a new thread for the Spring 2011 SMU applicants for the Sacramento Campus and all others as well.
Post your stats, any other important information you might have heard about the applicants, questions, concerns, anything!!
My stats:
Already been in nursing school- Dropped OUT- UGH, why????? *I digress...
*Received a degree from Sac State already, Cum Laude
Science G.P.A.= 3.4
Overall G.P.A. = 3.5
Teas= 84.1
1 year of healthcare experience
1 year of nursing school experience
Multiple community involvement experiences- ERG's, Volunteer on Diversity teams, Church, internships, mentoring, tutoring
*Hoping that this may be the year because I'm going no where fast in my current job field and I want to return to a profession that I have a passion for and am good at!!
That seems really late. Does this class also start in January? Sac is having their orientation on 11/15! SO excited! Cannot wait! Wish I knew what my Monday-Friday schedule was even going to remotely look like... =)
EB now says November 12 for San Mateo applicants. This is torture!!!
Wow more waiting . That scholarship opportunity is due a few days after that too. I guess I'm going to start writing my paper and filling out the application and just hold it until I find out if I get in.
Update: now she says she was just told next Wednesday (10/27), and she thinks this date will stick... She is very honest about the fact that it might change, but shes pretty confident about this one.
Does anyone know how long we have to make a decision once we get the call? I'll be out of the country on 10/27... so don't want to miss any deadlines if I get accepted :b
Also, if you are like me and have to plan ahead for travel for the orientation, the San Mateo orientation will be December 9 & 10. I'm not sure if it's 9th OR 10th, or 9th AND 10th... Sacramento folks, is your orientation two days long, or a choice between two one-day dates?
EB sent out an update email about how candidates will be notified about decisions. She said they should have notifications about acceptance at the end of the month.
