Hey, is anyone applying ? Didn’t see a thread . Can we share stats and information about the interview process? The deadline was pushed back to June 1st !

I believe Samford pushed their application deadline back to June 1st, so it will be a while for them. Long Summer of waiting ahead.

I emailed & actually found out that it won’t be a long wait . I’m so mad at myself for not asking when invites go out ! However, interviews are mon-wedsJuly 27-29. Decisions are made known on the 30th & 31st. They are in person interviews. Would anyone like to call & find out when invites will go out ?

Anybody heard any official date for when they are pushing out notices? I heard late June and into July. Just trying to clarify. Thx!

Hey Kayak and Kelly, CONGRATS! unfortunately I did not get an interview. Would you mind sharing your stats? I've emailed them to see what I can improve for my application next year. Thanks!

Hey honestly I’m super surprised I even got an interview.

Stats:

~20 months in critical care, CCRN, ACLS, PALS

3.17 overall GPA (unsure about science)

Rec letters from MD, fellow colleague who was recently accepted Into Samfords program, and ANM.

I have a ton of volunteer and teaching experience.

Stats:

2 years neurosurgical ICU, CCRN, ACLS

4.0 GPA

Recommendations from a former BSN professor, hospital MD, and my current nurse manager.

I don’t think they counted the GRE (bc of COVID) but I made a 151 quant, 153 verb, 4 writing

Serve as a nursing student preceptor, relief charge nurse, and orient new grad nurses
