  1. Hey guys, after getting rejected by my first two schools, (didn't get an interview invite to either) one of which I felt I more than adequate qualifications, I began to look at how I could improve but really had no idea how, as I could not receive feedback from my schools. That's when I found my friend "JacobILoved" 's CRNA podcast, "Propofol, please." "JacobILoved" is a current SRNA who gives valuable tips about how to interview well and give a great personal statement. I emailed him and signed up for two of his mock interviews. He refined my interview questions with me and helped revamp my personal statement, and since my time with him, I've received interviews from the next 3 schools I applied to...just like that. One of them is a top 5 program in the country that I never thought I'd even have a chance at. I was just offered a spot at one of those schools and will now be achieving my dream of becoming a CRNA, so I wanted to share my experience and give you all a chance to reach out to Josiah. His advice changed my mindset and course of my career! I can't say enough good things about him. His podcast is linked below and that has all the info you might need to contact him! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/josiahs-CRNA-personal-statement-review/id1511677610 https://open.spotify.com/show/05WcbAjAThZNoacCT8bEzv?si=PTjTYvb9Sw6B8I59iw01sA https://playmusic.app.goo.gl/?ibi=com.Google.PlayMusic&isi=691797987&ius=googleplaymusic&apn=com.Google.android.music&link=https://play.Google.com/music/m/I4fiopogifzi6ih5nphukk5zmvi?t%3DJosiah's_CRNA_Personal_Statement_Review%26pcampaignid%3DMKT-na-all-co-pr-mu-pod-16

And this was for the DNP program right? Good to know bmluke14! The update is greatly appreciated! I was going to say "hope to see you guys there!" but....zoom. How strange are the days we are living in? I'm pretty psyched though. Saves me a $400 flight and hotel!

Will do! Hang in there, I wouldn't take no call or email as a definite no, I'll bet they're still filling spots as we speak and will probably complete the calls tomorrow. My app says it's still under review but I have an interview scheduled so... not sure if I would go crazy checking the app status. I'll keep y'all posted.

I haven't seen an updated thread for MSU's DNP in Nurse Anesthesia program so here we go. I was wondering if anyone has heard how interviews are here? I interview July 30th. Anyone else heard back?

A rant and a question re: CRNA master’s program

OP you lost me when you peacocked about your credentials. It's okay to rant, it's a result of passion. Good luck in your endeavors.

emb92550, I really appreciate the time you've put into this post, thank you! I can definitely see that as school rivalry/competition. It's funny what people complain about, that's why I like getting both sides of the story. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing back from Clarkson hopefully the end of this month! Congrats on graduating soon.

    Clarkson College

Just applied for the Spring 2021 start date! I have heard people say negative things about Clarkson especially when compared to Bryan College, so thank you for this thread. Things like, "I've been in the OR and heard people say you can tell a big difference between Clarkson and Bryan students", meaning Bryan students shine over Clarkson students. I've also heard that one of the classes has the teacher skype in instead of being there in person, and people complained that it didn't feel as personal. I'm curious as to your perspective on these two matters? Also, some have said the clinicals are over 4 semesters? Do you feel that they offer adequate anesthesia experience? I emailed the director and she was very kind and helpful in getting me information about the school. So far there seems to be no negatives from my perspective except for what some have said on "allnurses.com". THANK YOU for your time!
