Samford FNP Fall 2015 start

Hello! I am applying for the FNP program at Samford University for the Fall of 2015. I am really excited and really hope that I get accepted. Is there anybody else on here that has applied yet or is planning to apply?

Hi Lisa! Sorry things started out rough but I'm sure this semester will be better! I'm not getting in Monday until 5:35. I don't know if you guys wanna wait but we could totally carpool so you don't have to get rental cars too! We haven't made dinner plans yet but I'm totally open. Maybe we can all meet somewhere at 8 if everyone is settled in?

I had to take an early flight from Tulsa and will arrive at the airport around 2pm on August 17th. Where are the rest of you staying? I'll be

at the Residence Inn (the one sent with our orientation email). I certainly wouldn't mind carpooling with you all except I need

to go visit an old friend of mine (on Tuesday or Wednesday ) that used to live here but moved about a hour and a half from Birmingham. I would certainly be up

for dinner with you all if we could meet up when everyone gets in.

Thank you! I've been through a lot the past few months as well but am forging ahead! It will so helpful to us each individually to connect and support one another. If we can meet for dinner I can share some things I learned my first semester that will be helpful to each of you!

I totally agree Lisa! It'll be great that we all have each other for support! Lenadee, I will PM you my email and cell phone number so we can carpool! If anyone else wants to carpool just let me know & I will PM you as well! We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott but if your hotel is close by that will still work!

I'll also look into restaurants close by & let yall know what I find. Or if anyone who has been there before has any suggestions let us know!

Try not to worry. I am a student there and it is not that hard to get around. If you are staying on Lakeshore Drive, which is where they suggested when we went to orientation, then you will just be right down the street. The area is really nice.

My plane tickets are coming out to about $400 round trip. Does anyone know how's the area? I'm debating on whether to make my husband come with me

The area is very nice. There is a really nice mall on Lakeshore, be sure to save time to check it out.
