As I was going through looking for threads of the programs I plan to apply for I didn't see one for SHSU Spring 2019 so I decided maybe I would go ahead and start one!
I am currently finishing my associates of science and associates of humanities from Palo Alto College in San Antonio where I currently live, then will hopefully have everything in line for SHSU application when it opens up.
I do still have to take my TEAS exam which I have scheduled for June 27, I am so nervous about cutting a great score to help with my chance of admission, especially since I won't have the extra point for being a SHSU student.
I'm excited to hear from others who will be the applicant pool as well and hopefully we'll be starting our nursing journey together, good luck to everybody!!!
Congrats to those who got in!!To those of you who did not get accepted-if you don't mind sharing-what were your stats?
I was denied and I thought I had fairly competitive stats, so I'm pretty upset and confused.

Your scores do seem pretty competitive! Did they give a reason for denial, such as immunizations or anything like that?
So what's the different between cohort 16 and 17 .... im so confused. Also is the program during the summer ?
At this point we're all confused and nobody is quite sure about anything, lol. We're hoping they'll send out some more information today to clarify some of it.
I wonder now if the different deadlines for the immunization corrections coincide with the different cohorts.
I had the Sep 24 deadline and was accepted for cohort 16.

I also had the sep 24th deadline and was accepted for cohort 16
The email stated, "This semester's applicant pool was exemplified by many highly qualified candidates. Unfortunately, the number of qualified applicants exceeds the seats available, and we are not able to offer you an invitation to join the Spring 2019 Nursing Cohorts."
It is what it is lol. Hopefully I get into one of the other schools I applied to, as I have no backup plan.
