Hey everyone,
I just shadowed today at a NICU here in Cleveland. I loved everything about it other than they are on salary pay rather than hourly? What is the good in that? I dont see it. Is anyone on hourly now?

I will never work salary as long as I live. You get screwed that way. If I'm going to work 60 hours a week, by God they're gonna pay me for 60 hours.

I've never heard of nurses being on a salary in the hospital unless they were management.
In some jobs salary is good, in nursing it is NOT. There are too many opportunities for overtime (time-and-a-half pay), holiday (time-and-a-half or even double-time pay), and off-shift differentials (evenings, nights, weekends).
