Hi Guys

I am a new BSN graduate from NY and planning to relocate to GA after a year expericence in the med surg unit; Can someone please, please and please tell me what the pay range is for new graduates are and also for one with a year experience?

Thanks a lot guys because I am trying to avoid making mistakes. In NY the starting range for new grads is 64k -70k depending on shifts as well

I can only tell you new grad salaries. Emory - $21.2/hr, Piedmont $20.99/hr, I think St. Joseph's is 21.35/hr.

Thanks Rollie, how about if I come in with a year experience in Med Surg

Hello:

You can do a rough estimate of a one yr salary by adding 3%. This is the general formula that most hospitals us. Hope this helps!

that's quite low! NYC new grads make 60k! There are more taxes in NYC, but you still come home with more money...I know because I lived in Florida.

But also remember the cost of living in NYC compared to Ga.

I live in NYC, the cost of living is high depending where you live in NYC...i live 30 minutes away from manhattan, i have bills to pay...and still manage to save a good amount of money every paycheck...;)

i'm offering a different perspective. A BSN in the VA system with one year experience can look to make $55k-65k. The VA pays you for your education and experience. The private sector numbers are pretty much $21-$25/hr. I'm speaking for Augusta, Ga only
