Are these figures really that accurate? I'm not a nurse yet, so I really have no idea. What is your opinion? Have you compared it to your salary in your area? Is it even close?

The numbers on http://www.Salary.com tend to be grossly inflated because the respondents frequently self-report wages that are much higher than their actual earnings.

I have used it to check out jobs in my area, I find it fairly accurate and consistant with what I make and have been offered; But I think there is some legitimacy to the other response it isn't 100% accurate because a lot of it is unverified self-reported income from other users.

And it depends on the specialty of RN that you are looking at. It only provides a range, but not really very useful IMHO.

the $20k+ range it shows is about right, a bit on the higher side.
