I am an ER nurse (RN, CEN) with over 12 years nursing experience who is planning to move from Georgia to Pennsylvania. Can anybody help me find out what kind of salary I can expect (or should require) in the Harrisburg, PA, region? Thank you.

I don't know about PA. However, in Cleveland Ohio and out East, and Buffalo NY area, it is about $20.25 an hour for a full or part time. PRN varies immensly from $23.00hr to $32.00hr.

Hello,
I was looking at the rates for an ER RN and thought that they seemed pretty high as most of the rates I have found are like around$14 to $15 an hour. But the rates I have found are also rates for people with lil or no expereince. I was wodnernig what the starting salaries would be for those same areas but for starting pay for people with no expereince.
Thanks,
Kim

FYI: I live near Dayton, Ohio. I have been an RN for 15 years, have worked in the ER for 9
years. When I was hired in my present position in 1998 the starting salary was
$18.98/hr. 10%diff. for second shift, 15%
for third shift and 12% on weekends.
Good luck to you!
