Well, since I was just working on some statistics hw, I thought I would make an estimate about the probability that no one on here (assuming they interviewed) got accepted. This appears to be a binomial distribution. I going to assume that there are at least 10 people on this forum who interviewed and haven't heard anything. I am also going to guess that about 80 people interviewed. I didn't count them, but that is a rough calculation based on how many spots per day they had, and how many days they interviewed (I actually think it was less than this, but that's okay, it makes this calculation conservative). So, the number of trials would be 10 (the number of people interviewed awaiting a decision) and the probability of success would me 32 (the number of spots in the MS program) / 80 = 0.4. So, using the binomial formula (10 Choose 0)(0.4)^0(0.6)^10, we have the probability that none of the 10 were accepted is equal to 0.006, or 0.6%! So, very very unlikely! even if they interviewed 100 people, the probably that none of us gets accepted is still 0.02 or 2%! So, I would have to agree that, unless until we hear something official, it is most likely that they haven't sent out acceptance letters yet. Or, they found out who we all are and got annoyed about all our questions, and decided to not accept any of us! (I am of course just joking about that last point!) Anyway, I suppose I should go back to my real homework now, and please chose to ignore all of this, I am just in the dark as all of you.

Congratulations! Still nothing here. I’m assuming I’ll get a rejection letter in the next couple days ☹️

Did yours come 15 mins ago like the other one or just right now?

Did anyone else hear? We’re they all sent at the same time?

same here.. got mine 5.48 CA time...congrats all.. and I wish all the best..the DNP list isn't out yet.....so there is hope...... can we have a facebook group...

If those of you who got in have time to share your experience and credentials I’d love to get some insight. This is my first time applying and I only have 3.5 years ICU experience. It’s also in the NICU so I know that sways some schools. My science and math GPA is a 3.7 and overall 3.85. Just so bummed after interviewing to not even get waitlisted. The other frustrating thing is the fact that they asked me THREE questions in my interview was about 15/20 mins long. How can a school get to know a person in three questions? What is the point of even interviewing? Did anyone else have this same experience while interviewing? Just feeling pretty down and discouraged right now.

Oh wow. Thank you so much for the insight. And congrats on getting in after such a long journey!

I just wanted to add that it's not uncommon for some programs to only ask 2-3 questions. They have lots of people to interview, and can generally get a good feel of who you are as a person in that short amount of time. If you don't get accepted, email the director or someone in the program in the next few months, and see what you can do to be a better applicant. What you DON'T want to do is come across as desperate, depressed, or arrogant. Not saying you are those things, but just something to watch out for when communicating on a public forum where the director often times visits.

If you are set on Saint Mary's, then just wait and apply again. Otherwise, get back on the saddle and keep applying to other schools (still a few you can apply to before the year ends), because you have good stats.

Thank you for the insight. I appreciate it.
