Hi
I'm in my last yr of pre-req's for a BSN program. 2013 should have been my last yr but my family was blessed with our third (and final :) son so per my OB/GYN suggestion I withdrew from my classes. I have three classes remaining and its all three of my Biology classes.
As you all now the biology classes are serious business and I'm worried really worried if I'll be able to keep up. I have a 3.6 gpa and I can't risk anything lower than a A in all three classes.
My school's life science dept is BRUTAL!
Im a SAHM and I earned my certification in Phlebotomy while out of school and pregnant. Im tempted to find work as a CPT and wait til my 1 mth old is older but I'm scared to fall into a slump of just working. At this point I'm several thousand dollars in student loan dept and I don't want to screw my forbearance up.
What should I do at this point?
Continue w/school this Jan taking Bio/L only? Spring/Summer/Fall and done! Ready to apply for BSN programs Spring 2015?
Find work as a CPT continue school next Summer or Fall once baby is nearing first bday?
Work p/t and school p/t?
ANY suggestions especially from mommies are welcome.

Erm, I am a mother of three as well.
The sciences can be brutal, but if you want it you will survive the class. I would work pt and still go to school. I know many mothers who have done the same and they are all where they want to be. I would just ensure you have a RELIABLE sitter for your kids. Trust me, school does not want excuses about child care. My school actually offers daycare.
Good luck

I agree. Work pt and school pt. It can be done! I have 2 kids and I took A&P 1 AND 2 over the summer and made sure I got A's in both.
Remember, where there's a will there's a way! My kids are my greatest motivation.

Thank you for the advice.
I just see how overwhelmed I am after having our last baby that with my oldest two and adding school into that I just feel like giving up.
But I think abt working as a Nurse everyday and this is the closest I have ever been and I can't imagine just stopping.
I'm thinking I need to buckle down and prioritize every minute of each day.

I have three kids. They are 9,8 and 3. It is tough as heck, but it will be worth it!

HI everyone! I am very new to this website but I have found it very helpful so far! I will be started RN school in January at Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth VA! I have taken all of my Pre-Rec courses so I have only 11 nursing classes to take before (hopefully) I graduate! I am very nervous but excited at the same time. Can anyone give any advise for preparing for this program?? I would appreciate very much.
