I have to find the patho-physiology on this and evidenced based practice regarding this disease. I am not finding it in any of my textbooks. My preceptor at the hospital said it is not actually a stroke, yet some of the online information I have read said it is??? Can anyone point me in a direction that is not just suppositions, but is evidenced base information? Thank you

Had *this* pt's SSST not progressed to the point of brain tissue actually being infarcted? Those do cause strokes, and without reading the notes I'm just guessing... but that's my thought if this pt didn't actually have a stroke, that perhaps the vessel wasn't completely occluded so blood could flow through, but with enough restriction that it caused symptoms and was diagnosed? Kind of like angina vs. an MI?
