Would or have any nurses provided in home care when the male of the house will be there while the lady of the house is gone working? Would you feel comfortable in an arrangement like this? Why or why not? Any experienxes to relate. Blissmissrn

When such is the case I talk with the family or at least the lady of the house and explain myself because of my past history of assault and how it makes me feel to have a man in the house come up behind me or walk in on me without me knowing about his presence. In only three or four cases have I ever had to leave a case because I could not deal with the situation. In one of those cases, I was assaulted in the house by a male friend of the patient. My employer dealt with the problem by getting rid of me and then blacklisting me. No medical care, no legal representation, no support, no resolution, unless you call what they did to me resolution. I warn people if I think they are going to get involved with that particular employer. If you do not feel comfortable in any situation, for any reason, refuse the case, or get removed from the case. You can not expect fair treament from the employer when it is too late and you are already the victim.

as a male, having a male there is no biggie, for me, it's the nasty cougars. i just don't do the case anymore if i feel uncomfortable. for the vast majority of cases, people are well behaved.

I have provided care for my patient while the father was working from home occasionally during the week (while the lady of the house goes to work). I have fortunately not encountered a negative situation.
