Saddleback College ADN Spring 2023

Published

Hi everyone! I'm starting this forum to share some experiences with the application process for the Spring 2023 and maybe share some stats.

2 Associates Degrees = 4 pts

4.0 science GPA = 30 pts

Relevant nursing coursework = 15 pts

Life experience = 3 pts

2nd language proficiency = 2 pts

TEAS score (85-100) = 25 pts

= 79 points

Sadly won't be able to include my EMT license here because they do require some work experience but state license processing is taking AWHILE

Do you guys think there will be an inflation of the overall admitted score since they changed the system for work experience?

Congrats @HaloNursing!! ? I also got an acceptance! Still debating whether or not I'll go to saddleback or GWC (but I don't hear back from GWC until mid-September).

I'll see those who got in during zoom orientation next week tho!! Take care everyone.

GWC and SAC when it opens up, I have a pretty good chance with GWC. I have 84 points with them.

Which school is your first choice? How many points do you have for sac?

Hi everyone! I got picked to be a alternate with 79 points for saddleback. I’m scheduled to retake anatomy for the fall for more points ? Does anyone know if alternates usually make it into the program? I’d love to avoid having to retake anatomy??

Do you apply to Golden West College?

Hi guys,

Can I ask what does it mean ‘’Relevant nursing coursework = 15 pts ‘’ is it mean the nurses classes that require to give points ? Also if I have CNA linces but without experience can I still get points ? Whats the competitive points to get in. TIA

The relevant nursing coursework would be classes such as "pharmacology, lifecycle, psychology, math, communication studies" and you need to have work experience along with your license in order to get points. According to the website, the last application cycle the point cut off was at 82 points for those who got in, and 77-80 points for alternates. Take a look at Saddleback's website and click on the nursing page. It gives you all the information you're looking for. The next application cycle is Feb 2023. I recommend you go over your transcripts with a counselor to see what points you'll get and to make sure everything is accurate. Some students may have to fill out a course equivalency form or course substitute form. Good luck on your journey! ?
