Sacramento, Portland, Raleigh job comparison

I will be graduating next Summer with my BSN. We are currently living in Utah, but looking to move to either Portland, Sacramento or Raleigh. I've been having trouble finding consistent information on the job markets for new nurses in these areas. I'd be willing to commute up to 45 minutes. I would prefer to do a hospital residency program or get a job in an E.R. (I know this is difficult as a new nurse). Does anyone know how competitive the job markets are in these areas before I uproot my family?
