Hello everyone! Just starting a thread for SCC Fall 2024 RN program. Hope to hear from everyone applying!

Hey. The transition is hard but if you do the work, it's not bad and it will feel good to progress in your nursing process. You start in the Summer around the end of May. Once the semester is over you either get into Full time Fall or Spring or Part Spring. The selection is done based on your order of preference and then random selection. Usually there's lecture 2.5 days a week and clinical Thurs/Friday. In the third semester you get some zoom lectures one day and one in class lecture the other day for about 1/3 of the semester. I don't remember the hours but I know that Summer started a little later like 9 or 10 I think. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. For the Summer course, do you have to go inperson everyday?
Hello !
I wanted to get some feedback for anyone going through RN program at SCC. I recently got accepted for Fall 2025, and wanted to see what was first semester/year like. What clinical sites did you get to attend? Are lectures in-person only or partially online? Any tips on studying? All my science class exams were heavily based on lectures, not so much on the book. I was wondering if it's the same for nursing. Is it possible to be employed part time or there is no room for a job at all with all the studying? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you
