Hello Does anybody know if ypu get accepted to SCC Lvn program if they email you or send you a letter? Also has anyone heard back from the LVN program yet ? I really am getting anxious now?

They will tell us our acceptance through our imail account through eservices.

They will send an email through iMail to you. That's one BIG reason why they require you to have an iMail account through SCC.

Just got my email from sac city:

Dear Nursing Applicant,

Thank you for applying for enrollment into the Sacramento City College Associate Degree Nursing Program Spring 2013 class. You were not selected in our random selection to start the nursing program.

Again, thank you for your interest in the Sacramento City College Associate Degree Nursing Program. As you strive to achieve your educational goals, I encourage you to investigate all opportunities available to you for nursing education in the Sacramento area.

Bummer! So does this mean I made it into the lottery just wasn't picked?

That means you were qualified but just didn't get selected. They will keep all your stuff in record if you apply every semester. Make sure you apply every semester to be in their system if want to earn credits for re-applying. Harjot

Yes, that is precisely what it means. You made it into the pool but weren't picked for the program this time around. I strongly advise that you re-apply every time you're able to because you'll get additional points and weight put towards you being picked. The re-application process is actually MUCH easier as all you'll have to do is go through and update whatever needs updating and submit the application, print out the cover sheet and that's what you turn in. They'll have everything else on file so you won't have to go through that whole rigamarole again. However, if you fail to re-apply, you'll start over again as if you were a first-time applicant... at the bottom of the list, with just enough points to get in and no extra weight to help you in the lottery.

Good luck!

Thank you so much miss.sac and akulahawk, I really appreciate it! I am so relieved to hear I am actually qualified! I wish they would post that as your status like ARC does. I will keep applying every semester. One day it will happen! Thanks for the support :)

Hello,

Does anyone know what the receny requirment is for the pre-req's (nutrition & medical language) for the LVN program at Sac City College? I took these two classes at Yuba College and can't seem to locate any information on SCC website to see if they will still accept my classes from 2007. I would really appreciate the info.

Thanks :)

This the link to SCC's counseling page that lists the courses that SCC accepts form Yuba College as equivalent to their own for nursing. My google-fu is sometimes strong, sometimes exceedingly weak.

I don't know if this also applies to LVN, though it may. Pay attention to any recency issues for some courses.

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever been an alternated to the SCC LVN program? What are the chances of getting a call that you go in, and does anyone know how the school goes about picking the alternate student?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks
