Sac State Fall 2017

U.S.A. California

I am in the process of turning in my Fall 2017 application. I take my TEAS test at the end of February.

Anyone else on here looking to transfer to Sac State in 2017?

Oh, the program is doable. The professors really want you to do well. If you are struggling they get you help. You are also in a section of 10 students that you do your clinical rotation with. You help eachother. Your clinical section becomes a good sounding board.

Can I ask how much time is typical to need to spend each week outside of the program in order to keep up with the information?

Um, it is kind of hard to quantify. There isn't much free time. It also probably depends on the student. You have a good deal of things you have to do outside of studying as well. Outside of school a rough, rough, estimate for me is probably 30 hrs. I am not exactly sure.

Ok, that makes sense. And can I ask what the passing grade is in the program? I know a lot of places you need like an 80% to pass. Thanks for taking the time to reply so much :)

You have to maintain at least a 73% average on all exams for all classes.

So, an 80% in the class is probably pretty accurate.

Thank you so much for the information! It has been so helpful! If around an 80% in all course work is needed, I'm assuming that grades are not curved?

Grades, at least as far as I know, are not curved. However, you will usually get a couple of points back on your 112 and 113 exams.

Who else received an email from Teri this evening? I am so excited to have been admitted :)

Congratulations! I'm in, too!
