Hey all pre-nursing students, nursing students, and official nurses! I am (hopefully) transferring in the fall to the Sac State nursing program, though Chico State is also an option. I was wondering, does anyone have any idea how likely I am to get in by looking at my stats? If not, no worries, I'm sure this question gets asked a lot. :)
My Nursing GPA will be at the end of this semester: 3.889 (I'm an all A student, except for my first semester where I got a B...I was 16 at the time, I have an excuse!)
My TEAS Test score will hopefully be a 95 (that's a guesstimate, based on the ATI practice tests/study guide)
Extra Points: Possible the 3 points for Healthcare work experience for Sac, definitely for Chico. Also, I'm from Yuba county, so that gets something extra with Chico.
Ideas? Help me out folks!
They should have sent you instructions to register for orientation with your admission email. To be safe I would email Teri.
I'm actually on the waitlist & got an email from admissions saying that my application was rescinded because I didn't sign up for mandatory orientation. However I put in my intent to enroll by May 1st and in Teri's email it says that if you only plan to attend sac state if you get into the nursing program than the orientation office will accommodate and the may 18th mandatory orientation deadline doesn't apply to you, which is why i'm confused as to why my acceptance was rescinded
Yeah, I would email Teri in that instance and then call the admissions office tomorrow just to explain what's going on and if they need you to do something to rectify the situation. I wouldn't wait. Hope it works out.
Yeah I emailed Teri and am planning to call tomorrow morning. I was just curious if anyone else had received it :/ it's a bit odd since in the email from SON it said that the orientation office would accommodate so they should've already known?
Yeah, I think it just is a miss communication between admissions and the school of nursing. Think everything is probably fine the admissions department probably just saw that you didn't register for orientation so assumed you weren't planning to attend not knowing that you were waiting for news from SON. I wouldn't worry. I registered for orientation so I don't know if it happened to someone else. Sorry I can't be of more help.

No worries! Thank you for your input regardless :) I just contacted admissions, SON, and am now waiting on Teri to help sort this out.

Hi! Did anyone on the wait list receive an email saying their admission to the university has been rescinded due to not signing up for mandatory orientation?
I don't know if I should contact admissions because in the email from SON it says the orientation office will accommodate for those only going to sac state for nursing. Thanks!
