Sac State Fall 2016

Published

Hey all pre-nursing students, nursing students, and official nurses! I am (hopefully) transferring in the fall to the Sac State nursing program, though Chico State is also an option. I was wondering, does anyone have any idea how likely I am to get in by looking at my stats? If not, no worries, I'm sure this question gets asked a lot. :)

My Nursing GPA will be at the end of this semester: 3.889 (I'm an all A student, except for my first semester where I got a B...I was 16 at the time, I have an excuse!)

My TEAS Test score will hopefully be a 95 (that's a guesstimate, based on the ATI practice tests/study guide)

Extra Points: Possible the 3 points for Healthcare work experience for Sac, definitely for Chico. Also, I'm from Yuba county, so that gets something extra with Chico.

Ideas? Help me out folks!

Gift shop clerk, really? Thank you for sharing your score. Let us know when they reach your number :)

Yeah, I'd like to know how that is clinical experience.

Will do! Eagerly awaiting...

Check your emails :))) I was accepted and my alternate number was 22.5! I figured I wouldn't hear back so soon, since my number was so far down the list.

I'm in! WHOOOOOO!!!!

Congratulations you guys!

Would those of you who got in from the waitlist be willing to share how many points you had?

I had 79. I have a friend who is alternate 54 with 75 points, it seems to be an average 10 people for each point.

Thank you! This is super helpful. I'm planning to apply for spring 2017. I'm currently at 79 points. I'm taking a summer school course and volunteering to try to increase my points, but the huge increase in the cutoff had made me very uneasy!
