U.S.A. California

Hello Everyone,

I am about to send in my application to CSU Sacramento for Fall 13 and was wondering if there are any other people in the same predicament. Would love love to hear your experiences as well.

Specializes in Neonatal, NICU level IV.

Nurseinthemaking:

I can't really say for sure.... I think Terri is posting that "75" number as her baseline which would mean that your email should say that you are in. I could be wrong, but that is my best guess.

I know you would rather here a simple yes; sorry. :sorry:

Vintage swagger- don't be sorry! You have been very helpful. Your response is better than an outright no. It gives me hope. I just would hate to have to wait longer. Especially because a lot of the Bay Area schools arnt sending admission decisions until end of may. That means that I could have to wait until then. I just want to know that without a doubt I'm in. Waiting is miserable.

For everyone who is above 75 and confident in their scores. Congratulations!

Nurseinthemaking20: I know you are in!! ;-) keep positive! Prayers your way....! Can't wait to celebrate!!

Mommato3crazies- thank you for your kind words! I can't wait to celebrate either. I'm sure we're all going to be waiting for an official acceptance email to celebrate tho.

Absolutely, I need the "official" news in order to celebrate! ;-)

I was surprised they told us the rank of the 80th applicant! Nothing like getting your hopes up and then just leaving you hanging there. And nurseinthemaking20, at 75 points you are definitely getting in but I know it definitely is going to suck if they make you wait any longer than they already have! Thinking about all of you guys and keeping my fingers crossed for all of us :)

I for one cannot believe how competitive it is getting. Back when I first started my pre-nursing prerequisites everyone was going on about how it was so competitive. But this was back when the point cut offs were in the 50's! That I think is pretty doable. Now look how crazy it has become. I truly feel sorry for current pre-nursing students just starting out. By the time they go to apply the cut offs may always be in the 80's.

Michelle- yes it is going to suck so bad. Now that i know I am "probably" in it's all just a matter of am I getting a definite acceptance come Wednesday or not? If I don't, I don't feel that I can celebrate. And what would I tell my family members? Umm yeah I'm just about in but I have to wait because there might be errors... Yada yada yada.

Yeah you're definitely right on that one. I cannot deal with telling my family and friends I didn't get in... I think I'll move away instead haha.

I was told by a friend in the program, "anyone with a 75 and above is in." That cut off number says anyone with a 75 and above will be admitted, as long as the individual didn't make any errors on the application etc. This is what a good friend of mine (in the program) told me this evening....so who knows!

Any idea what those errors could be? I checked my app a million times but I'm still worried. What kind of mistake could you have made that would get you denied?

Mommato3crazies- thank you! I am getting my hopes up now! That would be so greeeeeat! I always wanted an automatic in.

Michelle- I think the only major thing that could get u denied is if they didn't get your transcripts or say you didn't pay the app fee. Or if u forget to include your teas score.
