Hey, is anyone applying to sac state for spring 2012? Do you think it will be easier to get into since they won't accept any non-sacstate students? What do u think the cut off will be?

Sorry for all these questions. Has anyone taken the TEAS v? if so, what was your score? how did you study? and for how long. I am taking the test in 3 weeks. i am nervous

Okay thanks for making me feel better about enrollment, i was going to email ---------- since i haven't been enrolled in any classes but should i wait? I've been working so much i haven't been able to get that VA stuff done, i plan on doing it later this week so I can just focus on it. Did you do the training modules too? I still have to finish the other 3 modules that had the hippa stuff. AHHHH, i'm stressing myself out just thinking about it! haha

Let me know about the stethescopes, i already know which one i want =] Are you just getting your first and last name engraved on it?

Yeppers! Just my first and last name and some cute flowers! Seriously now that the break is here you've got plenty of time to relax and just be stress free. You can get all that stuff done in one day. I did my healthstream the night we got the info in like 4 hours. The VA stuff I did in about an hour. It's super quick. Just knock it all out tomorrow if you have a chance. It's kind of interesting so it won't feel too torturous as you're doing it. I will for sure keep you up to date about the stethoscopes. I private messaged you my phone number so if I don't contact you by Thursday evening just shoot me a text.

thanks crebs i'll check my messages and text you so you'll have my number as well =]

ALSO, where the heck is the student handbook we have to read? I followed the link on the checklist and it took me to SacCT but not to any student handbook...am i missing something? lol

Thanks for the positivity and reassurance as to quit stressing! Can't wait to meet you at orientation!

The SacCT page isn't up yet. Just keep checking it every once in a while. They say it should be up by the 1st at the latest.

Hi everyone!I'm in section 3 for spring 2013.I was wondering if you guys know where I'm supposed to submit my Kaiser compliance forms. I could have sworn I downloaded it from Certified Profile, but I don't see anything on my CP about it. Was it there and just disappeared, and I just need to upload it into my documents?Look forward to meeting you all!- Karen

Last time I checked, it was at the top of the page on CP. I think that is the old one though and they were supposed to email us a new document. Has anyone else submitted the old one and has an expiration date of Dec 31?

OK question for anybody who's been in the program or know somebody who's been in. For carrying all my supplies I was considering just purchasing a regular fanny pack as opposed to the nursing pro pack. Would a fanny pack be too big and bulky?

Honestly, I feel like we don't need anything extra to carry stuff because I just got the dove scrubs today and there are PLENTY of pockets in the top for us to hold things. And if u order the cargo pants you'll have an extra pocket too. I think u should just wait until you actually start clinicals to see what u need to hold around and save a few bucks now :)

Wow you got your scrubs already? When did you place your order? They haven't even finished preparing my order yet. From reviews I've read people appreciate something to organize their scissors, tape, etc, without stuff falling out when they bend over. I like to be prepared ahead of time. I'd rather be over prepared than under because by the time clinicals start I wont' have time to even think about anything besides my studies. I'm just wondering if they'll be like, sorry, that giant fanny pack is ugly and too big! lol

I placed it on the 1st of December. It took forever! Lol. Yes I agree with you cus I'd like to be prepared too. Amazon has the nurse fanny pack for around $6. I was gonna order that after I start clinical if I need it and use their free 2 day shipping.

Hi crebs, I don't know of any students that used a fanny pack or even the nursing pro pack in our semester and have never seen anyone using one around the hospital. I personally had no problem with items falling out of my pocket (there are lots of pockets). It seems to me a pack would be bulky and annoying, but that's just my opinion. Also, most people don't start actual hospital clinical days until week 4 or 5, depending on your section, it's not so stressful that you wouldn't be able to order one then should you decide you need it. Good luck!

Ok thanks a bunch. I guess I could also hold stuff in my clipboard. What stuff are you generally carrying around with you in your pockets? Not scissors or forceps or anything right?
