A week prior to my final I calculated my grades and knew I needed an 80 on the final to pass the class. I met with my instructor to review the previous quiz. It was a test question that she said she would throw out because it could have been two answers. I didn't think about it any further until after I made a 79 on the final which made me fail the class. I needed a 79.5 to pass the class and I had a 79.4

I emailed my instructor. Asking about the test question she said she would throw out because if she threw out that one question then I would pass. She emailed me back and said "Sorry all test are final and grades can not be changed. I misspoke during test review regarding throwing out that question."

Is that fair that she can tell me one thing and then go back on her word? Especially when that one question will pass or fail me? What would you do in this situation?

First of all, you guys are affiliated big time otherwise you wouldn't defend the crooked nursing schools. Second, real nurses are compassionate and caring individuals unlike a few of you guys and you know who you are. You guys are paid to promote and spread false information about shortages of nurses and all the nonsense that students are told when they begin their nursing education. Thirdly, OP is a customer he paid and he deserves better than those lousy so called Professor who where lousy to begin with and never have a cent in them to teach only to make money. They got attitudes when questioned. Fourth, the nursing school Professor s are people who can't handle being a nurse RN and go into teaching cause they are money hungry and don't want to deal with the patients. Having said that you guys are the definition of what a nursing student shouldn't be, money hungry and not going in and becoming a nurse for the wrong reason. Op, if you read this ignore all the nonsense you read about and the negative advice. Just go and demand. In my eyes you are the customer with major loans who deserves high quality education. You are never lousy and you deserve to become a nurse. Also, in every profession you deal with life or death situations. An electrician for example deals with electricity. He has to make sure to keep himself and his surroundings safe. I don't hear an electrician apprentice complaining as much as a nursing student. Believe me most of these schools are fraud. No quality education and only profits. Think!!!!

1) Nope, still not affiliated. I'm a stay at home mom & have been for a few years.

2) Real nurses advocate for their patients & tell them what they need to know, even when it sucks. We don't sugar coat ****. Is this shot gonna hurt? Yes. Is this procedure gonna be painful? Yes. Real nurses also take responsibility for their actions. When we make mistakes (we're humans, not robots) we take accountability. Obviously you & the OP think you guys are perfect & will never make mistakes which is scary & also want to shift blame on everyone else but yourselves (double scary)!

3) The customer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. Even so, nursing school is not the same as TJ Maxx or McDonalds. You don't always get it your way.

4) lmao. Nursing instructors are money hungry?! LMAO! Yeah, ok... I think I've heard it all. If they were money hungry then they would stay in the hospital and NOT teach. You've got that one bassackwards!

5) You obviously failed out of a nursing program & now think all nursing programs are shady & shrewd. Guess what? You failed because of you, not the instructor. Unless it was a for-profit institution that was shut down. You need to grow up (& so does the OP) & take responsibility for your actions.

6) If the OP goes in "demanding" everything she will not only be laughed at but she will be kicked out & have a black mark on her nursing school record. You are not offering any solid advice & if there was anyone the OP should ignore, it is you. You aren't even a nurse or nursing student. You have no real life experience! You are doling out, what has to be, THE worst advice I have ever heard IN MY LIFE! If the OP demands anything & gets a black mark & then tries to apply to another nursing program, she will have to explain what happened. Yeah, good luck explaining THAT!

7) You need to stop with the chip on your shoulder & all the trolling, it is not helping anyone. We are all experienced nurses & know what it takes to pass nursing school. Demanding things from instructors is definitely NOT the way to do it. You have a warped sense of what a nurse is, what nursing school is & what an instructor should do. If this is your attitude now, maybe you should find a different educational path.

8) Why do you want to be a nurse if you have such a mean spirited attitude against it?
