Rutgers University ABSN - Summer 2025

Published

Hi everyone! I did not see a forum yet for Rutgers ABSN for Summer 2025. I figured it would be a great way for us all to communicate on our nursing journey. Has anyone applied or heard anything back yet?

Hi! Thank you so much for this, if you don't mind me asking how much was each semester for you and when did u hear from financial aid. Feel free to not answer the financial question as it is personal, but how long did it take for u to hear back from financial aid?

Hi everyone!
I'm a current student at Rutgers ABSN. Before I started the program, I wish I had insight from current students. So, here I am trying to help you guys out.
I'll start off by saying - KNOW YOUR ANATOMY. If you haven't done math in a min - refresh yourself with basic conversions. Or, find practice problems online for basic dosage conversion problems.

Health Assessment- you guys are lucky to have anyone, but Professor Collins. Word on the street she is retiring after this semester.
NCHP - not a big deal to worry about. Except for passing by dosage with a 90% the first time. If not you get two more chances (with less room for error).
Professional nursing - not that big of a deal too. But, definitely study for exams. They make exams difficult for nothing.
Patho- Patho is Patho. But with hard work and dedication you will pass.

it's no joke when they say the program is rigorous. Do not take it lightly.

The school gives you all the textbooks you need online. I on the other hand rented the books because I study better with a book in my hand.

I hope this helps! I wish everyone best of luck, future nurses!

Thank you so much!! Did you make your schedule at orientation? And when do you find out about clinical placement and times?

Hey! Yes! I applied January 26 and received the "admitted" status as of yesterday Feb 25! Good luck! 😭 I hope more people add on to this chat because I'm going to need housing and would love to find a roommate possibly.

Hey do you mind sharing how you got in? I really want to apply later this year and am currently working on my last few prereq courses. They told me they only evaluate applicants based on grades and GPA. I currently have a 3.4 (will prob get myself up to 3.5), but being above the minimum doesn't guarantee admission. Any advice?

Where did you all do your pre reqs online

I have 4 more to go.
help!
